SUMMARY:NIHR Doctoral and Advanced Fellowship support sessions - How to develop a good fellowship application
DESCRIPTION:We have launched our bespoke support program for applications to Round 13 of the NIHR Fellowships\, Doctoral Fellowship and Advanced Fellowship schemes. \nThis programme of support will be delivered by the University of Leeds\, and is open to all aspiring applicants who wish to develop hosted within the University\, or those who are yet to decide where would be the most suitable host.\n\n1. How to develop a good fellowship application: 16th October 2024: 12:00-13:00: To cover application content\, what a good application looks like etc. Delivered by Nazia Nasir 2. Training and Development plan and the Person of the 3Ps: 24th Oct\, 12:00-13:00. Delivered by Taryn Bell\, OD&PL 3. Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE): 25th Oct\, 12:00-13:00. Delivered by Amy Rebane and Holly Schlofield 4. Costing a Fellowship: w/c 28th Oct (TBC).To be delivered by someone from the FMH FRIO.\nWhile these sessions will be recorded please attend\, if possible\, to participate in our question and answer sections.

DESCRIPTION:The NIHR are making Inclusive research an NIHR condition of funding. \n\nThe changes to ensure research inclusion \nApplicants will be required to demonstrate how inclusion is being built into all stages of the research lifecycle including\, but not limited to: \n\nthe research question and design\nthe participants recruited\nthe research methods\ndata collections\nanalysis\ndissemination of findings\n\n\nThere will be a significant emphasis on how participant selection is considered. Applicants will provide details of how their research contributes towards NIHR’s mission to reduce health and care inequalities and how it expands on existing evidence.
