SUMMARY:From Unmet Need to Evidence Generation
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be delivered by the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Emergency and Acute Care. You’ll benefit from expertise in healthtech evidence generation and evaluation and hear valuable insights about successful HealthTech development in the NHS. \nThe journey from identifying an unmet need to generating evidence for adoption and reimbursement is complex. This workshop will break down the process\, highlight key hurdles\, and share strategies to develop a compelling evidence case and secure funding. \nWhat are the aims of the workshop?\n\nTo help companies that are developing diagnostics\, digital health products\, or medical devices to articulate unmet need from multiple perspectives (clinical\, patient\, economic).\nTo demonstrate what works (and what doesn’t) through real company case studies.\nTo provide a practical framework for structuring your evidence story.\nTo introduce NIHR i4i and other funding routes for evidence generation.\n\nWho should attend?\n\nIndustry innovators (SMEs\, start-ups) developing health technologies for the UK market.\n\n\nIndustry innovators with limited experience of development and commercialisation of novel technology for the NHS.
