NIHR Doctoral Research Training Camp – Applying for Further Funding

A key aspect of a career in research is the ability to know how to put together a successful application for funding. The purpose of the training camp is to offer in person delegates access to workshops, inspirational speakers and practical group experience in preparing grant proposals.

Attendance at the full 3 day camp is limited by nomination, however the first day of the camp, 7th July, will include a plenary session which will be live streamed to allow those not eligible or unable to attend in-person to gain virtual access to the presentation sessions to support the development of future research proposals. The session will include talks on developing your research question, the art of selling yourself and your project, and opportunities in the NIHR. There will also be a live Q&A section. At the end of the plenary session, delegates will have been exposed to a range of subject experts who will have highlighted key considerations for attendees to consider when applying for future funding in their research careers.
