The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme is launching Call 4 of the FAST (Funding At the Speed of Translation) funding scheme. FAST is aimed at innovators in need of a small amount of funding to answer a specific question or to fund a single piece of activity to advance healthcare technologies and interventions for increased patient benefit. Awards are designed to address an evidence gap and innovations must have demonstrated experimental proof of concept as a minimum.

Key features of FAST Call 4
- Simple application process, fast response
- Development of innovative healthcare technologies for acquired brain injury (ABI), including the prevention, diagnosis and management of ABI as well as recovery from ABI
- Funding a single activity to address an evidence gap
- Applications between £50k and £100k over 6 to 12 months
A live Q&A session will be held for interested applicants on 9th October 2024, 11:00-12:15.
The event will provide an opportunity to ask questions on eligibility, remit, the application process, finance queries, contracts or IP. If you have any doubts if your proposal is within remit or would like advice about preparing your application, please come along and seek some clarification.
