Could new research help to reduce the need for immunosuppression after a kidney transplant?
February 26 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Webinar hosted by the UK Organ Donation and Transplantation Research Network (UKODTRN).
Regulatory T cells are a type of immune cell that naturally calm down unwanted immune reactions. In this webinar, Professor Fadi Issa will describe how researchers are trying to harness these cells to reduce the need for life long immunosuppressant drugs after having a transplant. He will share what the lab and early clinical results show so far and discuss what this research could mean for patients in the future.
The session will conclude with a 15-minute Q&A discussion with your submitted questions.
The UKODTRN is administered by Kidney Research UK.
